Competition Outline

Composers submit a new original chamber work that includes bassoon before 30 April 2012
1. New works must be between 6-15 minutes in length
2. Chamber works are to have a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 players
3. Any instrumentation is accepted as long as one of the instruments is a bassoon.
An expert panel of judges will evaluate the works and winners will be chosen
Composers will be notified of the results before 1 October 2012
1. All composers submitting a work to the BCMCC will receive comments from members of the judging panel
Winning works:
1. Will be recorded and released on CD by the BCMCC Chamber Players
2. Will be performed in a world premiere concert, details forthcoming
3. The BCMCC will work with publishers to arrange a publishing deal for the composers
